About a year ago my adventure-loving husband bought us tickets to the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show. His story is that we had no intention of buying a boat. And then we skied ourselves, “why not now?”

We left the exciting surroundings of the boat show and headed back to Virginia wondering what we had done, yet excited for the challenge of learning. We often asked “why are we doing this” but we still decided to follow through on our decision. Our boat was scheduled to arrive from Turkey in late February on a container ship and then taken from Norfolk to Baltimore. During this period of waiting we felt excited but still had no idea what we done!

The first time we saw her was March 7, 2025 and wow, did this overwhelming purchase/journey begin to feel real! Who knew that a brand new boat had so many things that needed to be fixed? I thought it was like buying a car, you get in it and go. Boy was I wrong!
